Osiris Textil was founded in 1963 by the artisans Miguel Netzahuatl Ayometzi and Mariano Netzahuatl Vázquez, starting with 6 wooden looms where they wove sarapes saltillos with an approximate production of 600 pieces per week.
In 1970 they implemented industrial looms and a felting machine, weaving at that time 1000 gabanes of greca in 4 mechanical looms, changing from working in a living room to an industrial warehouse. In the 80’s the number of mechanical looms was increased, as well as an industrial building, and with it the weaving of new products began, such as travel blankets, producing 3,000 pieces per week.
Due to a constant work for 1990 a total restructuring is made, an additional warehouse is built, where spinning (fabric preparation) is implemented; from this year until 2003 false blankets are woven, producing approximately one million pieces per year, exporting 100% of the product to the United States and Canada. Due to the recession suffered by our neighboring country where our main customer was located, in 2003 we had the need to go in search of new markets and therefore offer avant-garde products and for this we developed technology in the spinning increasing the open, jaquard looms and machines for the finished blanket. We currently have 7 industrial buildings ready to supply the needs of our national and international customers. More than 50 years behind us.
