Osiris Textil was founded in 1963 by artisans: Mr. Miguel Netzahuatl Ayometzi and Mr. Mariano Netzahuatl Vázquez, beginning with 6 wooden looms in which they weaved saltillos sarapes with an approximate production of 600 pieces per week. In 1970 they implemented industrial looms and a felting machine, at that time weaving 1000 fretwork overcoats on 4 mechanical looms, changing from working in a living room to an industrial warehouse.
